Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn was brutally honest during one of his streams about the state of ranked in Apex Legends. Based on the opinion of aceu, the game is in a terrible spot when it comes to ranked. Aceu focused on the terrible queue times as the main culprit. He starts off with a blistering take that the game is "dead" and he won't spend time in ridiculous queues. And on top of that, since the game doesn't have enough players, the game will filter in a few predator squads with silver, gold, and platinum squads.

He then mentioned he could queue up in European servers and deal with 150 ping and cheaters and DDoSers.

This is a tough spot to be in, as the higher-end players are frustrated with the lack of competition, long queues, and cheaters. While lower-end players are sick of having to play predators in their gold lobbies.

No one is happy with the situation. Now, it's important to note that Warzone 2 has just come out, taking a lot of the players and hype at the moment. Any other game is going to look stale when a brand-new game just came out.

Apex Legends still has some great features and will be able to survive this, it's just whether certain players want to wait around for the fixes. And aceu isn't the only streamer who feels this way. But are these content creators just doomsayers?

According to data gathered by the Active Player website, the average amount of monthly players has been on a mostly upward trend. Season 15 of Apex Legends began on Nov. 1 and despite its shortcomings, it's still seeing an overall increase in popularity. Hopefully, this will all be resolved soon.
