Grubhub and Amazon have extended their free one year Grubhub+ offer for Amazon Prime members in the US for another year.
The extension means Prime members who signed up for the offer last year can enjoy Grubhub+ for an extra 12 months, at no added cost to their Prime membership. People who sign up now through July 5, 2023, will also benefit from the move, and gain two years of free Grubhub+. Anyone who signs up after that cutoff date will get 12 months of Grubhub+ for free.
A Grubhub+ membership, which otherwise costs $9.99 per month, comes with $0 delivery fees (on orders of $12 or more before tax, tip, and other fees), as well as other perks. If you don't cancel before your free trial expires, Grubhub will automatically charge your account. Cancelling an Amazon Prime membership will also end the Grubhub+ subscription.
Membership to the takeout service via Amazon Prime includes access to Grubhub's ongoing "Tune In & Takeout" series, which pairs food suggestions with movies. In April, for example, Grubhub delivered a pastrami-inspired martini experience for fans of Amazon's Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
“Whether it’s saving money on your favorite takeout with Grubhub+, exclusive deals, prescription savings, entertainment, or fast, free delivery on tens of millions of items, Prime keeps getting more valuable for our members," Jamil Ghani, VP of Amazon Prime said in a statement. "Prime members have enjoyed saving money on takeout with Grubhub+, and we are excited to deliver even more savings to those who already redeemed and those yet to redeem by adding another free year of Grubhub+ to Prime.”
