Apex Legends' Anniversary Collection event for 2023 is approaching, and some of its upcoming content has already been leaked.
Apex Legends first launched back in 2019 and each subsequent year Respawn have rolled out an Anniversary Collection event, usually including a variety of special cosmetics, collectibles and more. With the game heading towards its fourth anniversary, players are expecting the same treatment this year.
Respawn hasn't formally announced the Anniversary Collection event just yet, but luckily some leakers have already offered a glimpse at what's to come.

The leaks come via ExoMadara and YouTuber Thordan Smash, who claim that the upcoming Anniversary Collection event will be offering Heirloom Shards rather than a specific mythic skin.
Respawn opted for this method back in 2021, during the second Anniversary Collection event.
The benefit of this is that it allows players to work towards choosing their own Heirloom, perhaps one that they've been eyeing up for some time.
As for when the Anniversary Collection event is set to start, Respawn has yet to announce a specific date. Apex Legends' fourth anniversary will fall on Feb. 4, but Respawn has a habit of rolling out the update sometime after the official date passes.
In other Apex news, Respawn announced plans to sunset Apex Legends Mobile. The game's servers will cease operation at 4 PM PDT on May 1, 2023.
