Yesterday, I hit two of my three prop bets in Major League Baseball, and I'm looking to stay hot on Thursday's smaller slate.
We're looking at two plays today – targeting three different starting pitchers. Here's how to wager in the MLB prop market:
Best MLB prop bets today
- Dylan Cease OVER 16.5 outs recorded (+110)
- Los Angeles Angels-Texas Rangers NRFI (-125)
Dylan Cease OVER 16.5 outs recorded (+110)
Dylan Cease got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but he's turned things around as of late – pitching at least six innings in four of his last six outings.
He only needs to go 5.2 innings in this outing to hit this bet – and a lot of sportsbooks have this at minus odds. At DraftKings, you can get Cease to hit the OVER at +110.
Cease isn't getting hit too hard, allowing five or fewer hits in every start since May 13. I think this is a value play tonight.
Los Angeles Angels-Texas Rangers NRFI (-125)
Two of the best pitchers in the American League right now will go head-to-head in Texas.
Shohei Ohtani (5-2, 3.32 ERA) is on the mound for the Los Angeles Angels and Nathan Eovaldi (9-2, 2.49 ERA) gets the ball for the Texas Rangers.
While Ohtani has an ERA just north of four in the first inning this season, I think this game stays low-scoring early.
Eovaldi has allowed just one run in the first inning in 13 starts, and I think these two offenses cool off with such solid pitching on the mound.
