The long teased event has been apparently confirmed: Godzilla vs Kong is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 3. Operation Monarch, as it is called, was discovered in artwork as a part of the PlayStation Network update on April 20.
With Season 3 of Warzone releasing in just under a week on April 27, fans were already hyped for new weapons and new meta themes coming to Caldera soon. As the Godzilla vs Kong event looks set to release May 11, it will likely be the second event in the season, giving players time to adjust to the other changes taking place.
The event was first hinted at by leakers back in mid February, claiming a Godzilla event would be coming to Warzone. Since then, there has been relative silence on its potential, and not much has been known about the event or if it would take place.
Now that it looks confirmed, players still do not know much about what it will actually entail. Some are hoping for an increased scale in map destruction, to really let the movie beasts run wild throughout the map. Regardless, it seems fans will have to wait just a couple weeks longer to figure out what Operation Monarch is really all about.
