Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United all had representatives in attendance to watch Khvicha Kvaratskhelia during Georgia's 3-1 defeat to Spain on Sunday, 90min understands.
The four Premier League sides watched on as the two nations played out their final Euro 2024 qualifier, and though there were a number of players they like involved in the game, sources have confirmed to 90min that Kvaratskhelia in particular was under the microscope.
The winger scored Georgia's only goal of the evening, grabbing a first-half equaliser after Robin Le Normand had put Spain ahead.
Kvaratskhelia is enjoying another fine campaign with Napoli, despite their struggles seeing manager Rudi Garcia replaced by Walter Mazzarri. So far this season, Kvaratskhelia has claimed three goals and four assists in his 11 Serie A appearances.
The 22-year-old is currently in talks over extending his contract at Napoli by another 12 months while also being handed a significant pay rise - his current deal runs to 2027.
90min understands that Napoli have no inclination to allow two of their most prized assets to leave in one year. Amid his current contract stand-off, it is more likely that star striker Victor Osimhen departs next summer instead of Kvaratskhelia.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis dismissed suggestions earlier this year that Kvaratskhelia is an attainable transfer target for Europe's top clubs, and that stance is unlikely to have changed.
"Do you want to stop it? He already signed for five years last summer," De Laurentiis said.
Despite Napoli's insistence that Kvaratskhelia will stay, it will not stop suitors doing their due diligence and continuing their checks on him. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG have been keeping an eye on the winger in recent times in addition to clubs from the Premier League.
