Hardware and accessory vendor Corsair has created its first sit-stand desk, which pulls out of all the stops to appeal to every kind of PC user.

At Gamescom in Germany, the company debuted the Platform:6 Desk, a large and expandable product that contains premium materials and the option for electric motors to adjust its position.

“The Platform:6 sets the highest standard for an expandable, feature-rich computer desk,” Corsair said in the announcement.

The Platform: 6 stands out for featuring a 6-foot-wide surface area, giving the consumer plenty of room for the high-end PC and related accessories. The other defining feature is the “modular rail system,” which slings over the desk’s rear through an aluminum crossbar. The rail system can be used to mount a pair monitors and other parts.

Meanwhile, the desk’s wire management trays can keep your PC’s cabling hidden from view. An in-desk story cubby contains built-in USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.

In addition, the desk can be purchased with two electric motors “to quickly and quietly move the desk surface to their desired position using an LCD readout controller with push-button adjustment and memory presets,” Corsair says.

The company designed the desk not just for PC gamers, but also for working professionals and content creators. So interested consumers will also be able to buy add-ons, such as “hanging pegboards” and mounts to install, lights, cameras, and microphones.

Although there’s no word on price, the desk will no doubt be expensive. The company noted: “customers will be able to design the perfect Platform:6 using Corsair's online configurator to fit their needs and their space, or choose from several predefined bundles for the best value.”

The vendor plans on selling the Platform: 6 Desk sometime in Q4 through its web store and via authorized resellers.
