Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed what he doesn't want to see quarterback Dak Prescott do this upcoming season.

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys were able to make it to the playoffs as the top Wild Card team in the NFC. They did defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the opening round and sent Tom Brady back to retirement. The thing is, the Cowboys were once again unable to get past the Divisional Round, as the offense fell flat against the San Francisco 49ers. Getting to the NFC Championship Game hasn't been done by the Cowboys since the 1995 season.

After making moves in free agency, the trade block, and in the NFL Draft, the Cowboys could be considered one of the favorites on paper to make it to the playoffs in 2023. But, the only acceptable result for them is to make it past the second round of the playoffs, at minimum.

While speaking with the media on Wednesday from training camp in Oxnard, Calif., team owner Jerry Jones was asked about what he expects to see from quarterback Dak Prescott this upcoming season. Well, Jones said that he would like to see fewer interceptions from the signal caller, as his 15 led the entire NFL last year.

Prescott did have an eventful 2022 campaign. In the season-opening game against the Buccaneers, Prescott suffered a broken right thumb, which sidelined him for Dallas' next five games. While he was able to put up 23 passing touchdowns, he did struggle with interceptions, regardless of whether he caused them or not. Prescott never threw more than 13 in his career before the 2022 season.

This offseason, the Cowboys did retool the offense, parting ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and replacing him with Brian Schottenheimer. Not only that but head coach Mike McCarthy will be calling the plays. Oh, and the Cowboys brought in a new pass-catching option to get some attention off of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in Brandin Cooks.

The spotlight is on the Cowboys year-round, so if Prescott struggles early on in the season, the pressure will only increase.
