LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After Danny Masterson of ‘That 70’s Show’ was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for rape, an interview clip with Conan O’Brien from what is believed to be from an episode from a 2004 episode of NBC’s 'Late Night' show went viral.

In the viral clip, O’Brien, who by the way was also the writer for ‘The Simpsons’, appeared to have predicted Masterson’s conviction. 'The Simpsons' has often been credited for predicting the future correctly.

In the short clip from one of the episodes from 2004’s NBC ‘Late Night’, host O’Brien could be seen interviewing Masterson, where he was asking the 47-year-old actor about the loss of his Long Island accent.

The Scientologist replied the accent went away because of his time in Los Angeles for ten years.

Masterson then continued to add an anecdote where he said that his actor-friend Bodhi Elfman joked about his way of speaking and mimicked Elfman’s impression of him by saying, “Hi, my name's Danny Masterson, would you like to touch my balls?” per Daily Mail.

O’Brien replied laughingly, “Why are you asking people to do that?” to which Masterson replied, “You got 'em. Everybody should grab them.”

At that moment, O’Brien prophesied with mock seriousness, “I've heard about you and you'll be caught soon, I know that.” Masterson responded with a short, “I will."

How many years will Danny Masterson actually serve?

At the ruling, Masterson was handed down a total of 30 years to a life sentence for the two felony rape charges. He is to serve 15 years for each rape case consecutively.

Before writing the sentence, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo said to Masterson that while he had always claimed his innocence, he was “not the victim.”

In fact, Olmedo said, “Your actions 20 years ago were criminal and that is why you are here today.”

Judge Olmedo further asked Masterson to get registered as a sex offender once the sentence is finished.

Masterson’s attorney, Shawn Holley requested the judge to give Masterson a concurrent 15-year to life sentence instead of consecutive 15 years. The attorney further portrayed the actor as an “exemplary husband and father.”

While asking for a reduced sentence, Holley talked about Masterson’s “selfless acts, opening his home, his wallet and his heart to people in need.”

However, Prosecutor and Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller made a case for the 30 years to life sentence saying, “After Masterson raped the first time he had time to think about what he had inflicted. Despite that, he raped again.”

The Prosecutor continued, “This is something they carry with them forever. This is long-lasting punishment for them. These lives will never be the same.”

'Conan O'Brien the prophet predicting what is in store for Danny Masterson'

One social media user marveled at the irony and said, "Clip of Conan O'Brien telling Danny Masterson 'you'll be caught soon' from 2004 interview resurfaces after actor is sentenced to 30 years for rape. It's ironic that it's a prophecy."

Someone else found the common link between future predictions and 'The Simpsons' which is famous for its prophecies, "Conan O'Brien predicted Danny Masterson going to jail. Conan O'Brien also used to write for The Simpsons. It's all starting to make sense."

Calling O'Brien a prophet (for all the right reasons), a social media user said, "Conan O'brien the prophet predicting what is in store for Danny Masterson."

Someone else shared the clip and said, "Conan O’Brien knew about Danny Masterson in 2004."

"Prescience … thy name is Conan," declared another.
