Dean Henderson have given an emotional farewell interview after leaving Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

Dean Henderson has given an emotional farewell interview after leaving Manchester United on a permanent transfer in the final days of the transfer window.

Henderson ended his 12-year association with Man Utd, making a permanent move to Crystal Palace, where he put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Selhurst Park.

Despite being a renowned Premier League quality goalkeeper, Henderson was unlikely to get much playing time at Old Trafford anytime soon due to the signing of Andre Onana from Inter and additional back-up from Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce.

Speaking in an interview with MUTV after officially leaving the Red Devils, Henderson was keen to thank the club he first joined as an academy player.

"This club's everything to me," he said. "I moved away [from home] at 14 years old to follow my dream of playing for Manchester United and, thankfully, I followed through and I managed to do that. So that's something that I'll always cherish and carry with me everywhere I go.

"I've been a supporter since I was a young boy. I've come up through the system and love the club through and through. Obviously there have been some highs and some lows at times, but I've got great memories here and I'm really happy to be leaving on good terms.

"It's a dream come true to have pulled on the shirt and played at Old Trafford, in European competitions, in FA Cups, Carabaos and, most importantly, the Premier League. That was something I really wanted to do from a young age. It'll be sad to leave."

Henderson will now immediately become Palace's first-choice goalkeeper, and could even make his debut on Sunday when they face off against Wolves in the Premier League.
