Cowboys legend DeMarcus Ware got mixed reviews for singing the national anthem at the Hall of Fame Game between the Browns and Jets.

DeMarcus Ware has already won at the game of life with his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He's proven to be multi-talented as well. He once stretched his legs and competed on Dancing With the Stars. Could American Idol be next?

On Thursday, Ware surprised NFL fans ahead of the Hall of Fame Game between the Jets and Browns by singing the national anthem.

Well, there are definitely mixed opinions on that one. Some fans loved Ware going out there and giving it his all.

Others were of the opinion that being good at football, and even competent at dancing, doesn't mean you can sing.

Listen, singing in front of even a few people, let alone a national audience, takes incredible guts. But Ware may want to leave the singing to the pros. We can't all be good at everything.

He's proven himself in enough realms anyways, especially on the gridiron. He doesn't need approval on his vocals.

Ware played in the NFL for 12 seasons, amassing four All-Pro nods and nine Pro Bowl appearances. He led the league in sacks twice, posting 20 in 2008 while coming second in Defensive Player of the Year voting. In total, he had 138.5 career sacks, ranking 13th all-time.

Dallas drafted the linebacker out of Troy with the 11th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He played there for nine years before he was released and landed with the Broncos in 2014. In Denver, he achieved his Super Bowl dreams. After he announced his retirement in 2017, he signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Cowboys.
