Deutsche Bank AG agreed to pay $75 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the bank of enabling Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse, according to attorneys for the plaintiffs.

“We believe that this historic resolution stands for both justice and accountability,” lawyers at Edwards Pottinger, one of the firms that brought the suit, said in a statement. “The settlement will allow dozens of survivors of Jeffrey Epstein to finally attempt to restore their faith in our system knowing that all individuals and entities who facilitated Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation are finally being held accountable.”

The victims filed legal action against Deutsche Bank in November and were seeking class-action status, alleging Epstein’s sex trafficking relied on its complicity and that the bank knowingly benefited from supporting his network.
