The LSU Tigers edged out the Florida Gators in extra innings in Game 1 of the College World Series Finals on Saturday.
It took them 11 innings to do it, but the Tigers eventually captured the 4-3 win.
Now, LSU is one win away from capturing the College World Series while Florida has a chance to even things up on Sunday and force a Game 3.
Let's take a look at the odds for Game 3 and then I'll give you my best bet.
Florida vs. LSU College World Series Game 2 odds
Florida vs. LSU College World Series Finals Game 2 prediction
Florida has been on the right side of plenty of one run games. Four of their last five wins came by a single run, and now their good luck is starting to run out, finally losing a close game in the first matchup against LSU.
If we are to trust the statistics, then LSU looks like the bet to make on Sunday. The Tigers outrank the Gators in the two most important categories, ERA and batting average.
LSU sits with a season long ERA of 4.30 while Florida comes in at 4.48.
The difference is even bigger when it comes to batting average. LSU hits at a rate of .307 while Florida's batting average is .291.
The first win wasn't just a fluke. I'm willing to bet on the Tigers to close things out on Sunday afternoon.
