The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are in a winner-take-all scenario for a trip to the NBA Finals on Monday night, but Heat fans have to be concerned after losing three straight games.
To make matters worse for Miami, the NBA announced the officials for Game 7, and one referee has a negative trend for the Heat over the last few seasons.
Miami Heat record with Scott Foster is concerning
Scott Foster has been assigned to work Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and Heat fans won't like this stat that comes with the Miami games he's refereed.
The Heat did beat the New York Knicks in Game 6 with Foster reffing this postseason, but they are just 2-13 straight up and 3-12 against the spread the past two seasons when Foster is the referee.
Miami is set as a massive underdog in Game 7 against the Celtics despite having a 3-0 lead earlier in this series.
Heat vs. Celtics odds, spread and total for Game 7
The Heat aren't expected to win Game 7, and they'd be the first team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead if they lose on Monday night.
While bettors shouldn't strictly wager against the Heat because Foster is the referee, it is a stat worth knowing.
