Players looking to access Hogwarts Legacy as part of the early access period on Steam are running into trouble. Here's how to fix it.
Hogwarts Legacy is set for its global release on Feb. 10, 2023, but those who had preordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were offered a 72-hour early access period. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC players with the Deluxe Edition gained early access to Hogwarts Legacy from Feb. 7, and while things have been going smoothly for those on console, PC and Steam players have seemingly run into some issues.
According to many players, those who had pre-purchased PC game keys from third-party sellers have found that they've been unable to access the Hogwarts Legacy during its early access period. But, luckily, it seems that the issue has been given a solution.
Hogwarts Legacy Steam Early Access Not Working: How to Fix
Webstores, such as Fanatical, reported on Feb. 7 that keys had not been updated by Warner Bros. Games, meaning players were unable to access the game.
"We have already contacted relevant parties and are waiting for a response. They are urgently looking into it!" Fanatical said in a tweet.
In a follow-up response, the store updated customers by saying "We've received confirmation from many members of the community that their games have now worked."
From the updates, it seems that third-party purchased PC keys for Hogwarts Legacy should now be active. Those still affected should consult Warner Bros. Games' Customer Support pages.
