With the announcement of the new promotional title, literary fans have been wondering how to download EmilyBlaster. The game can be played in a web browser on Gabrielle Zevin's website and does not require any download.
EmilyBlaster is a free-to-play game designed to promote Gabrielle Zevin's upcoming novel: "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow". In that book, the main character Sadie Green develops a number of video games, and EmilyBlaster is one of the ones she comes up with. Gabrielle Zevin worked with Dan Vecchitto and Knopf to take her game idea and make it a reality.
How to Download EmilyBlaster
EmilyBlaster has gameplay reminiscent of Peggle and Space Invaders, as words fly to the bottom of the screen, and you shoot at them with a ball that can bounce on walls. What makes EmilyBlaster special, though, is that you are aiming to only shoot the words that belong to a certain Emily Dickinson passage. The passage is shown to you before the level begins, and you're graded at the end of the level based on the correct words you shot.
The game is very short, only three levels, but it's certainly a unique gameplay concept and representative of the type of quick project that Sadie Green is said to have made in "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow."
