The investigation makes them travel to Mexico and seek River, a reclusive division hacker. What happens next will blow your mind. So, let’s take a look at how the movie ends.

‘Hypnotic’ Ending Explained: Is Danny Rourke also a hypnotic?

After River manages to extract some key information, it is revealed that Minnie is Domino, the daughter of two powerful hypnotics: Rourke and Cruz (who is revealed to be Rourke’s wife Vivian). Rourke soon realizes that the entire room and all the events that have happened so far have been 'constructs'. He wakes in a large room filled with Division agents, including Nicks and Dellrayne, who is revealed to be the Division’s director.

They make Rourke understand that he and Vivian have been hypnotics for a very long time and their daughter Minnie was born and raised within the Division. However, Rourke knew that the Division wanted to make his daughter a weapon and escaped with her. He kept her hidden and wiped his own memory. The protagonist doesn’t remember where she is, and the Division made these constructs so that he could find her. He is plugged back into the construct, and he takes advantage of the situation and escapes using his own powers.

Division examines what happened and soon finds out that “Find Lev Dellrayne” does not refer to a person. It actually refers to “Deer Valley Lane,” a ranch where Minnie is hiding.

‘Hypnotics’ Ending Explained: Is Rourke’s story over?

As soon as Rourke arrives at the locations, we see that Minnie is living with Rourke’s foster parents at a ranch. Minnie is now grown up and in complete full control of her powers. The Division follows him and reaches the ranch, but it turns out that the entire situation is another construct of Minnie’s escape. She manages to restore Vivian’s memories for a few moments and went on to wipe her memory so that she could defeat the Division. Vivian leads the Division to the ranch and Minnie, with her powers, forces the agents to kill each other. The Division is defeated and Minnie is now living happily with her parents and Rourke’s foster parents.

However, in the mid-credits scene, viewers get a shock of a lifetime when it is revealed that the Director survived the attack and used hypnosis to construct Rourke’s foster father to look like him during the fight.
