The RPK has been part of Warzone 2's meta for some time, but IceManIsaac believes there's an even "deadlier" LMG to use.
Warzone 2's meta is an ever-evolving field, with players constantly on the lookout out for the best guns and attachments that deal the most damage as fast as possible. A safe bet in almost every match has been the RPK, despite the recent nerfs to its ADS speed and long-range damage output.
But in spite of these reductions, the RPK was still proving popular for getting the job done. IceManIsaac, however, believes there's an underated gun that could put the RPK to shame, with the right loadout — the Sakin MG38.
IceManIsaac Builds Deadly Sakin MG38 Loadout in Warzone 2
When it comes to finding a powerhouse in Warzone 2 post-Season 2 update, IceManIsaac pointed to the Sakin
"There is a gun that shoots faster, has better bullet velocity, more damage per mag, faster TTK [than the RPK], and this is what I’m using when I have to turn up, ” the streamer said.
Thanks to JGOD, IceManIsaac was able to compare the Sakin to the RPK following the Season 2 update. In which, the Sakin proved to have a much faster TTK speed compared to the RPK, sitting at 736-millisecond to the RPK's 800. In addition, the damage per mag was much higher, with the Sakin boasting 3000 over the RPK's 2295.
Isaac then put the weapon to the test in a recent video, showing off its power in action.
For those looking to replicate the loadout, here's what Isaac has been using:
- Barrel: 20″ Bruen Silver Series Barrel (+0.35 weight, -0.04 length)
- Underbarrel: Cronen WL55 (+0.80 weight, +0.19 length)
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser (+0.23 weight, -9.87 zeroing distance)
- Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity (-0.47 weight, -2.61 load)
- Optic: Aim OP-V4 (-0.29 weight, -1.65 eye position)
Isaac did admit that the Sakin's one fault was its slower recoil speed, but if you're able to look past that, the weapon is a sure winner in every other aspect.
