However, Tate expressed dissatisfaction with the movie and took to X to mock Scott. In a recent tweet, Tate shared his thoughts after watching 'Napoleon'

"I’ve read Napoleons memoirs, they were not the writings of a man child," he said.

Tate continued, "This movies clear intent to immaculate one of histories greatest men is a travesty. What’s sad is 95% of people, especially young people know nothing about Napoleon besides this 'movie'. 0 stars."

In another tweet, accompanying the previous one, Tate wrote, "Dear god …Napoleon is charging the field and fighting with his sword at the battle of Waterloo. For the love of god Ridley what have you done? This movie is more humiliating than any real battlefield defeat."

'Napoleon' is a 2023 epic historical drama film directed and produced by Scott, with David Scarpa as the writer.

The movie delves into the story of Napoleon Bonaparte, showcasing his ascent to power and his relationship with Empress Joséphine.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon and Vanessa Kirby as Joséphine.
