Drake's song 'Slime You Out' used Halle Berry's picture from 2012 but the actress decided to be the 'bigger person' about it

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Halle Berry criticized Drake on her social media account on Friday, September 15, for using her image without her consent to promote his new single with SZA titled 'Slime You Out'.

Also, the “hidden message” in Drake's cover photo of the ‘Catwoman’ star infuriated the internet as the actress blasted the rapper.

What picture of Halle Berry did Drake use?

The cover image for the newly released track featured a flashback photo of the ‘Monster's Ball’ actress, 57, being slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The Oscar winner, however, was not pleased that the collaboration song's social media promotion used her slimy picture.

After the picture came out, she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram. The picture she posted read, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy...even if you're a woman!”

What did Halle Berry say about Drake?

Drake, 36, was not specifically mentioned in the article, but she responded to social media users by saying that the artist's behavior was “not cool” in the comments section

When a fan asked Berry how she felt about having her picture used, she said, “Didn't get my permission. That's not cool I thought better of him!”

Then the star further wrote, “Hence my post today,” explaining her motivation behind the statement, as she stated, “When people you admire disappoint you you have to be the bigger person and move on!”

How did the internet react to Drake's cover pic of Halle Berry?

Drake didn't say anything further in his caption as he posted the photo of Berry. The caption just contained two emojis: a green heart and a wide-eyed face.

The same image was shared by SZA, who last month unveiled her Snooze music video with Justin Bieber. However, she captioned it with a green puke emoji, a face with a hand over its mouth, and a googly eye.

A user said on X, formally known as Twitter, "If he's profiting from her image, she deserves a cut."

A second person tweeted, "Y’all saying it’s just a picture but yall know what he’s implying by the title right? that’s nawt cute— especially when he didn’t give her a heads up."

"...Hopefully, Drake will make it right!" said another person. A fourth wrote, "Consent goes for a toss again."

"Not cool at all! They suppose seek permission," claimed one user.

Some users even mentioned a lawsuit, with one person commenting, "Let her sue him, then." Another user claimed, "Why you do this drake? don't offend the queens!"
