Fans are hoping for a Nintendo Direct to highlight the variety of games coming out this year. So can we expect to see one this February?
2023 is already shaping up to be a big year for Nintendo, with a number of huge titles set to release in the coming months. The long awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is scheduled for a release this May. Pikmin 4 is also set for this year, though the game doesn't have a definitive release date just yet.
Though there's plenty to look forward to, Nintendo fans will no doubt be hoping for a few surprises along the way. And what better place to announce them than during a Nintendo Direct.
Is a Nintendo Direct Happening in February 2023?
While Nintendo has yet to confirm an upcoming Nintendo Direct, for the past few years there has been a showcase scheduled for February. This means that there's a very good chance of one happening in February 2023, though it's not guaranteed.
The last general Nintendo Direct was broadcast on Sept. 13, 2022. Nintendo broadcast an Indie World Direct showcase a few months after, on Nov. 10.
Nintendo also likes to announce Directs fairly close to the broadcast date, so it could still be some time before the company makes an announcement.
