LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Hardy took to Instagram to announce the commencement of shooting for the third installment of 'Venom' over Instagram on November 24.
Along with playing the lead, Hardy has also written the screenplay of the film, along with director Kelly Marcel, reported Deadline. The movie is being produced by both, alongside Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
The 'Venom' franchise is being helmed by Sony Pictures, the studio responsible for Marvel Comics-based films such as 'Morbius', and the upcoming 'Kraven the Hunter' and 'Madame Web'.
As of yet, the Sony Marvel Universe has been independent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the exception of Hardy's character, Eddie Brock, and the symbiote Venom making a cameo appearance in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' in 2021.
