Meghan King claims being a single parent has been the 'hardest thing' she has ever done

ST LOUIS, MISSOURI: Meghan King and Jim Edmonds' five-year marriage was filled with ups and downs, most of which were captured on Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Orange County.' Fans have recently observed both parties leveling accusations against one other in an attempt to make the other appear bad, and the internet is sick of it.

Meghan and Jim were used to putting their romance in the limelight, even before they joined the reality show. Prior to meeting her future husband, Meghan worked in medical sales. Jim, who is 14 years Meghan's senior, was well-known for his professional baseball career, having won the World Series with the St Louis Cardinals in 2006. Meghan was recruited on 'RHOC' for Season 10 not long after they married in October 2014, and the couple's triumphs and challenges were taped for the next three seasons of the Bravo series. Jim was accused of being unfaithful to his wife several times after Meghan left 'RHOC' in 2018. The pair finally split up in November 2019, and their divorce was finalized in May 2021. With their custody fight for their three children still ongoing, Meghan has made some charges about her ex, and the internet is abuzz with speculation.

Meghan opens up about 'mom/work struggle'

Not long ago, Meghan had chosen to stop posting photos of her children on social media. Meghan said on Instagram that she has decided to remove her children's faces from images in the future. "My children's images were used against me as an intimidation tactic recently," she alleged. Meghan also stated that as her children get older, she wants to respect their preferences as "individuals."

Meghan posted to Instagram on May 10 to express how tough that choice has been for him and her social media career. She stated that it has been tough not to post pictures of her children this year because the majority of what she does is with her children. Meghan slammed her ex in the captions of a photo collage of her and her children, writing, "Being a single parent is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, especially in this horrific situation when the other side is consumed with vengeance. I’ve been beaten down, verbally abused, intimidated, threatened, and harassed with no signs of slowing down or end in sight and it’s killing my soul - and NO ONE in the legal system cares to help my kids or me."

She applauds the Instagram membership model, which has proven to be beneficial to Meghan's rehabilitation process. She has explained why she chose the Instagram membership model.

Meghan adds that it has unwittingly developed into a method for her to finance her mortgage and extracurricular activities for her children while still being present at every single thing they do, when she should definitely be working, "the mom/work struggle!" "I’ve been suspended by Meta for the last 2 months due to a glitch, but it’s reopened. If you want to know the truth, SUBSCRIBE, and make sure your information is current, otherwise you could lose access," she urged her followers.

'Being a single woman doesn’t make you a single mom!'

Reacting to Meghan's latest allegations against her husband and her claims of supporting herself, a follower commented, "There’s always 3 sides to a story.. your side, the other side & the truth." Meghan gets called out by a follower following her "single mom" claim, "I get that you were married to a bad man that for what you say was verbally abusive which is horrible as being physically abused but done label yourself as a single mom when you get support from him financially and he gets the kids and you have a loving family that helps out. You have a support system and your kids are taken care of very well! Being a single woman doesn’t make you a single mom! Women who have zero help and their dad doesn’t help in any way they are the true single moms struggling every day for the simple necessities for their kids while personally trying to keep it together. I really do wish you well." One follower also wrote, "Ready for the truth now." A fourth user added, "No doubt she has to put up with this evil-hearted man but the kids do have a dad and she posts her friends and family so she does have a support system that a lot of women don’t have nor get child support from the dead best parent! This isn’t an attack against Meghan at all. She seems to do great with her children and I’m sorry she is still having to deal with him. Think goodness she can afford to not worry how to feed, clothe, house her kids like real single moms do not just a single lady raising kids with help." One user also wrote, "Single-parent titles are reserved for people who do not have support. You are a single woman but have outside help physically and financially. It’s not the same, please don’t pretend it is."

Calling this co-parenting one wrote, "All about the $$. I’m sure their dad provides just fine. And unless someone is raising their kids all by themselves, you are not a single parent. Their dad has them a lot! It’s co-parenting, even if you two don’t talk to each other." Speaking of her having the primary custody situation, one wrote, "That’s still not single parenting." One further added, "And let’s not forget she has nannies?" Seeing Meghan bash her ex continuously on social media, one wrote "I feel for you, I do but I think the posting on social media and talking about it to the press, etc. makes you look bad and feeds right into Jim’s narrative. I believe Bethenny Frankel went through something extremely similar and she kept her mouth shut and handled it in court. I’m no lawyer but I would do the same. Everything isn’t for public knowledge." Another advised, "Idk. Bashing your kids father on social media speaks volumes about you as well. Your children will read this one day. You are only hurting them while you plead your case. Leave it alone. Be a mom and fight for their well-being. But do it private."
