Judas was announced during The Game Awards 2022.

Judas is an upcoming single-player, narrative, first-person shooter coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Ghost Story announced Thursday.

A release date window for Judas was not given.

The Game Awards 2022 announcement was made complete with a 90-second reveal trailer showing off sights and sounds from the studio's debut title.

As perhaps showcased in the trailer, Judas is set to be the first title from Ghost Story, which was co-founded by Bioshock-creator Ken Levine.

In 2014, the Bioshock series developer studio Irrational Games was closed by Take-Two Interactive. Although members of the Ghost Story team helped create and develop the BioShock games, the studio now dons its new moniker and no longer works on the franchise.

Similar to the Bioshock games, it appears Judas will invite players to wield both crude firearms and supernatural superpowers against strange foes in a mysterious setting.

Here is the official synopsis for Judas, as displayed on its Steam product page:

A disintegrating starship. A desperate escape plan. You are the mysterious and troubled Judas. Your only hope for survival is to make or break alliances with your worst enemies. Will you work together to fix what you broke — or will you leave it to burn?Ghost Story
