Jude Bellingham has admitted he has "goosebumps" playing for Real Madrid after scoring another late winner on Wednesday evening.
Bellingham joined the club from Borussia Dortmund for £87m, signing a six-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, and has immediately become the club's star player.
The England international has scored six goals in six games for Madrid, including two last-minute winners, the most recent of which came on Wednesday evening when Bellingham reacted quickest in the six-yard box to sweep home in the 94th minute to earn a 1-0 victory over Union Berlin.
Assessing his Madrid career to date in an interview with TNT Sports, Bellingham was asked if his move up to the La Liga giants has lived up to his expectations.
"More. More," he said. "Goosebumps talking about it now. I am so grateful to be at this club. I talk about the players and the staff, the mentality that they have and the quality they have. On the flip side with the fans, as you arrive into the stadium they flock in in thousands outside just to get a glimpse of the bus and then at the game they are there before the warmup.
"You don't really understand how big this club is until you play for them and I have got that honour and I will always wear it with pride."
Bellingham also discussed his penchant for scoring late goals in recent weeks, bagging in the 95th minute against Getafe and then the 94th against Union Berlin.
"Yeah, I am not going to lie I'd much rather keep scoring in the 90+ than the 15th - even though it might take a bit of strain off my heart and the fans' hearts," he laughed.
"That's the history of the club. I am new to the club but I've had a TV since I was little and from, I can't remember what age, I've been watching Madrid complete comebacks and I am thinking 'There is no chance and it is not possible'.
"But when you are around those players every day that have been part of those triumphs in the past you just pick it up and it rubs off on you. I think if you don't have it they sniff it out of you."
Assessing his star player's goal against Union Berlin, manager Carlo Ancelotti joked that Bellingham has been "lucky" to be in the right place at the right time on a number of occasions.
"Bellingham has quality," the coach began. "This is very important. It seems that he is also lucky, because this goal is similar to Getafe's, but he was there. He almost always comes from the second line and is more ready than the others."
