Good news for Olympique Lyonnais Féminin fans, Portland Thorns and USWNT multitasking forward/midfielder Lindsey Horan will remain with Division 1 Féminine club after her loan ends.
Horan, who joined the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region club in central France back in January of 2022, played six seasons with the Thorns and is under contract with the Pacific Northwest team through 2025. Her loan with OL expires this June.
According to OL manager, Sonia Bompastor, the clubs are hammering out the details of Horan's continuation, but the 28-year-old American is expected to stay – either through a loan extension or outright transfer.
This is not Horan's first go-around with French soccer as she spent four years with Paris Saint-Germain between 2012 and 2016, appearing 58 times for the renown capital squad, scoring 46 times.
She's had a good run with OL as well, no doubt carrying her great form from the Thorns (87 games and 25 goals), and has appeared in 32 times for OL across Division 1 Féminine and Champions League matches, scoring seven times thus far.
