After the recent conclusion of its closed beta, we're still a ways away from the official release of Madden NFL 23.
In the meantime, it's perhaps as good of a time as any to go over some ratings predictions. While there have been leaks floating around in recent weeks regarding Madden NFL 23's ratings, EA Sports has yet to make those official. As such, here are our top five running back ratings predictions for Madden NFL 23.
Madden NFL 23 RB Ratings Predictions: 5 Highest Rated
5. Dalvin Cook (95 OVR)
Missing some time in 2021 due to ankle and shoulder injuries, Dalvin Cook did see some down rushing numbers last year. When fully healthy, however, Cook is one of the best zone runners in the NFL.
4. Christian McCaffrey (95 OVR)
Playing fewer than 300 offensive snaps in each of the last two seasons, Christian McCaffrey undoubtedly is still one of the best talents at the RB position, but needs to stay healthy in order to move up the list.
3. Derrick Henry (96 OVR)
The best RB in the NFL over the last three seasons, Derrick Henry is set to enter his seventh season while coming off a foot injury and multiple years with a heavy workload, which tames expectations a bit.
2. Nick Chubb (96 OVR)
Following a 2021 season that was plagued by injuries, Nick Chubb should bounce back as one of the NFL’s most difficult tackling assignments this season.
1. Jonathan Taylor (97 OVR)
With injuries to the aforementioned Henry, Jonathan Taylor staked his claim as the NFL’s most valuable RB last year despite Indianapolis missing the playoffs.
Madden NFL 23 is set to release worldwide for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC (via EA app, Origin, Steam and Epic Games Store) on Aug. 19. EA Play (via Early Access Trial) and EA Play Pro subscribers, as well as those who pre-order the All Madden Edition, will have early access to the game starting on Aug. 16.
