Man Utd are hopeful of finding a club from Turkey or Qatar to take Donny van de Beek this month.

Manchester United are continuing to look at potential landing spots for Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek after the European transfer window closed, 90min understands.

Van de Beek has been left out of United's Champions League squad as the Red Devils are keen to move him on, but a proposed loan move to Real Sociedad fell through earlier this summer when United refused to budge from their demand of an obligation to make the move permanent.

The 26-year-old ended up remaining at Old Trafford beyond the deadline earlier this month but 90min understands there is still an active desire to find a new home for Van de Beek and United are looking for suitors in countries where the window is still open.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until 15 September and clubs in Qatar have until 18 September to make signings, and these are two countries of particular interest to United as they seek to trim their squad.

Interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce has not progressed but there is understood to be other clubs exploring a potential move for Van de Beek.

While United had wanted a permanent departure, either immediately or as part of an obligation to buy next summer, sources have confirmed that the Red Devils may now be prepared to accept a traditional loan deal without a purchase clause.

United officials have made it clear to Van de Beek that, if he remains at Old Trafford, he may not be included in their Premier League squad, which must be finalised on Wednesday 13 September.

Van de Beek would therefore risk playing no competitive football across the first half of the season, at which point he would be able to discuss another transfer in the January window.

A £35m signing from Erik ten Hag's Ajax in 2020, Van de Beek has endured a nightmare spell in England. He has started just six Premier League games and played fewer than 300 minutes in all competitions last season before suffering a serious knee injury.

Two years remain on the contract Van de Beek signed upon his arrival, while United also have the option of triggering a 12-month extension.
