NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Monday morning, November 27, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough returned to ‘Morning Joe’ and one of the first things they addressed was the Thanksgiving holiday and more specifically former President Donald Trump’s post on that day.
Scarborough and Brzezinski did not hold back when it came to mocking Trump, while also applauding President Joe Biden for his Thanksgiving weekend.
‘Morning Joe’ hosts shed light on Joe Biden's Thanksgiving
‘Morning Joe’ hosts started their segment by talking about how President Joe Biden spent his Thanksgiving.
Mika Brzezinski said, “President Biden spent the Thanksgiving weekend on Nantucket, as is tradition for his family. While there, he worked most of the time to keep the Hamas hostage release deal in place.”
She added, “He and the First Lady also called into NBC's broadcast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with a message for the American people.”
‘Morning Joe’ then played the clip of Biden’s brief conversation with ‘Today’ host Al Roker during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
After the clip, Brzezinski and Scarborough both applauded Biden for the same. “That is so great,” said Scarborough, who also added, “bring America together, be grateful for the fact that we do live, and the President said it right there, ‘We live in the greatest country in the world.’”
Scarborough added, “I know, like, that sounds whatever, but we feel, I feel that way. President feels that way. Most Americans feel that way. That's why on Thanksgiving, you know, I think most politicians are, you have to take the moment, right? Today is Thanksgiving, so this is a day we're going to put aside any anger, and that's how it's played.”
Brzezinski also agreed with her co-host and husband as they both shared the same views on Biden’s message for Thanksgiving before Scarborough held his earpiece and said, “Wait, hold on, what?”
“So…former President Donald Trump…” started Brzezinski and Scarborough continued, “Oh I guess Donald Trump did not do that.”
Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski dive into Donald Trump's post
Mika Brzezinski then shed light on Trump’s “holiday message” for the American people as ‘Morning Joe’ displayed the former President’s Thanksgiving post.
“Ooh, woah,” expressed Brzezinski as the message flashed on the screen. She added, “He fired off this lengthy social media post blasting the President and all those involved in the New York civil fraud case against him and wrote that the country had already ‘gone to hell.’”
“Well, that's not really saying that we're the greatest country in the world, which most Americans think we are,” said Scarborough before the hosts briefly broke down the key points of Trump’s Thanksgiving post on Truth Social.
Scarborough also mocked Trump and said, “That’s not very thankful, is it?” Later, the hosts were also joined by others on the panel to further discuss the former President.
