Pokémon GO Plus is temporarily disabled for trainers. Unfortunately, the release of Zorua into the game has brought on some unforeseen bugs. Niantic made an announcement informing trainers that, in light of these issues, they are temporarily disabling Bluetooth devices like the Poké Ball Plus and Pokémon GO Plus.
Zorua’s debut into the game was also delayed. The Tricky Fox Pokémon was teased to arrive in the game at the start of Pokémon GO’s Halloween Event, so trainers were disappointed to see that it was not on part one and two of the event's lineup of wild spawn. It was not until Oct. 28 that Zorua would enter the game. Trainers have the duration of the event, until Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. local time, to get their hands on the Generation Five Pokémon.
Pokémon GO Plus Disabled During Bug Fix
Unfortunately, there have been some problems with the mechanics of Zorua. Known for its Illusion ability, Zorua disguises itself as your Buddy Pokémon in the wild, and, when caught, it will reveal itself. However, trainers have experienced issues with this feature, as sometimes Zorua does not revert from its disguise when caught. Additionally some trainers have caught Zorua with partial HP.
To offset the bug, the Poké Ball Plus and Pokémon GO Plus are currently disabled. As of now, there is not an estimated time on when the bug will be fixed.
Niantic, in its announcement, encourages trainers to directly message them if you are experiencing any other issues.
