During the Team Rocket Takeover event in Pokémon GO, there will also be the new Special Research Task Ultra Beast Protection Efforts. This event dealing with the Team Rocket leader Giovanni will begin Nov. 14 at 12 a.m. local time and the reward will be able to be claimed until Dec. 1. Here are the four steps of challenges to complete the Special Research.
Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Step One
- Defeat six Team GO Rocket Grunts - Rewarded ten Hyper Potions
- Catch four Shadow Pokémon - Rewarded ten Pokéballs
- Purify two Shadow Pokémon - Rewarded ten Pinap Berries
Completing the first step in the Ultra Beast Protection special research will reward players with 15 Great balls, 2,000 experience points, and one Rocket Radar.
Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Step Two
- Defeat the Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo - Rewarded 1,500 experience points
- Defeat the Team GO Rocket Leader Cliff - Rewarded 1,500 experience points
- Defeat the Team GO Rocket Leader Sierra - Rewarded 1,500 experience points
Finishing the second step in the Ultra Beast Protection special research will earn players with 1,000 Stardust, 2,500 experience points, and one Super Rocket Radar.
Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Step Three
- Find the Team GO Rocket Boss - Rewarded five Max Potions
- Battle the Team GO Rocket Boss - Rewarded 20 Ultra Balls
- Defeat the Team GO Rocket Boss - Rewarded five Max Revives
Completing Step Three of the Ultra Beast Protection Efforts special research task will reward trainers with one Lucky Egg, Two Golden Razz Berries, and 3,000 experience points.
Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Step Four
The last step in the Ultra Beast Protection Efforts special research only requires players to claim all the rewards they worked hard to earn. They can claim a reward of 2,500 experience points three times and then they will finally be given two Silver Pinap Berries, 2,500 Stardust, and 5,000 experience points.
