Want to blow off steam at a show this summer? Apple's new concert-discovery features within Apple Music and Apple Maps are intended to make it easier to find local events.
Apple Music users can browse artists' upcoming shows and view setlists, while Maps now offers more than 40 curated guides highlighting local live music venues.
Look for Set Lists in Apple Music's Browse tab, which highlight a "selection of major tours" and invites audiences to listen to playlists and read about productions before attending a gig. "For the first time on the app, fans will also be able to browse artists' upcoming shows in their area by launching Shazam's concert discovery module," Apple says.
Apple Music Set ListsApple acquired Shazam in 2017, and the concert discovery module is part of a suite of features launched last spring that leverage data from music website Bandsintown.

Apple Maps, meanwhile, now features more than 40 Guides, curated by Apple Music editors to highlight music venues—from Viennese symphony halls to techno clubs in Brooklyn and Tokyo. Apple tips more than a dozen cities, including Berlin, Chicago, Detroit, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mexico City, Nashville, New York City, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, and Vienna.
Apple Music Set Lists and Apple Maps Guides are rolling out now globally.
