Respawn Entertainment has subtly changed the patch notes for the upcoming Apex Legends event, Beast of Prey Collection Event. Redditor PikAtChuHuN was the one to point it out, showing that spawn rates for laser sights and barrels will be decreased, but increasing optic sights.
This should appease many different players complaining about the lack of scopes.
If Respawn wants a better balance of weapons across the board, they're going to have to focus on the appropriate number of attachments spawning as well. Someone is only going to hold on to a sniper if they can find some attachments or more importantly, a scope.
Players excited for the new collection event will also have a chance at earning Loba's heirloom. As with every heirloom, the chances are extremely rare, but players that unlock all 24 items in the Beast of Prey collection will unlock the heirloom. However, it costs players around $160.
The predator-like cosmetics should fit most playstyles, and give fans something to look forward to, but it's always going to come down to gameplay. If the game is struggling, it doesn't matter what cosmetics or events Respawn throws at the fans. As small as this change seems, it should make looting much more enjoyable.
