LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Russell Brand’s talent agency has severed all ties with him after a string of harrowing rape and sexual assault allegations were leveled against him.

The 48-year-old Hollywood actor has been facing allegations of committing rape, sexual assault, and abuse between 2006 and 2013 at the height of his fame.

As per an investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches, four women have alleged that Brand sexually assaulted them during a period when he worked for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and featured in Hollywood films.

The ‘Death on the Nile’ actor has vehemently denied all allegations but it seems like they have already damaged his connection with his talent agency.

Why did Tavistock Wood talent agency terminate ties with Russell Brand?

In a shocking statement, Tavistock Wood talent agency confirmed that they are terminating all their ties with Brand, saying they were "horribly misled."

"Russell Brand categorically and vehemently denied the allegation made in 2020, but we now believe we were horribly misled by him," the agency said in a statement to Daily Mail.

"TW has terminated all professional ties to Brand," the statement continued. The agency has also removed Brand’s image from its official website.

Apart from Brand, Tavistock Wood also represents Dustin Hoffman, Lily James, Charles Dance, and Dominic Wes, among others.

Its decision comes as Brand is set to perform in front of thousands in Wembley at a sold-out gig on Sunday.

What are the allegations against Russell Brand?

The allegations, published by The Sunday Times in a joint investigation with Channel 4, claimed that Brand sexually abused four women between 2006 and 2013.

One woman, named Nadia, claimed that the actor sexually assaulted her against a wall in his Los Angeles home, according to a report by The Times.

A second accuser, who is only identified as Alice, alleged that he assaulted her when he was 31 and she was just a 16-year-old schoolgirl. It is claimed the actor referred to her as 'the child' during an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship that lasted for about three months.

The third victim, identified only as "Phoebe," asserted that Brand sexually assaulted her while she worked with him in Los Angeles and that he threatened her with legal action if she told anyone.

Meanwhile, the fourth victim, Rachel, who worked with Brand when he presented 'Big Brother's Big Mouth', alleged the star flashed her and made inappropriate advances at her.

Russell Brand denies allegations

The horrific allegations came on Saturday, September 16, less than 12 hours after Brand took to social media to vehemently deny 'very serious criminal allegations' late last night.

In a YouTube video, Brand claimed that he had received "extremely disturbing letters" from a mainstream media TV company and a newspaper which he said included "a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks."

The actor continued by claiming that the allegations are "untrue" and all of his relationships "during his time of promiscuity" were "consensual."

He also asserted that he is a victim of a "coordinated media attack." In the wake of sexual abuse allegations against Brand, several celebrities including Andrew Tate and Elon Musk have come forward to support him.
