NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA: Shannon Beador's car was seized after she was taken into custody for DUI and hit-and-run on Sunday, September 17, after she allegedly crashed into a house in Newport Beach, California, and fled the scene.

'The Real Housewives of Orange County' star allegedly hit the house with her vehicle and quickly turned her car around and left the area. However, it didn't take long for police to get involved, reported TMZ.

Shannon Beader was reportedly intoxicated and got out with her dog

On Monday, September 18, TMZ reported that sources revealed that Beador who fled the scene continued to drive for a short distance before she parked her car in the middle of the street. She then got out of the vehicle with her dog Archie.

Concerned citizens informed police about the situation and on arrival, they found the 59-year-old reality star appearing to walk her dog.

It became evident to the authorities that Beador was under the influence of alcohol, leading to her subsequent arrest.

What are the charges against Shannon Beador?

Speaking to TMZ, a representative for the Newport Beach Police Department said that Beador was booked for two misdemeanors, DUI alcohol, and hit-and-run.

She was then cited and released without the need for posting a bond.

Shannon Beador feels 'ashamed' after DUI arrest

Following her DUI arrest, the 'Flipping Out' reality star Jeff Lewis revealed that his close friend Beador has decided to seek treatment following her DUI arrest.

"I am happy to say that she is gonna be entering counseling this week, so I’m happy about that," Lewis stated on his 'SiriusXM' show 'Jeff Lewis Live' on Monday, September 18.

"I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. I think as her close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think that she probably has been leaning on alcohol, but I don’t believe she’s an alcoholic," he added.

Breador has been grappling with the aftermath of her split from her boyfriend John Janssen after a three-and-a-half-year relationship.

In July, Page Six broke the news that a “wasted” Beador had to be “removed” from a California bar after getting into a screaming match with Janssen’s daughter.

Gina Kirschenheiter addressed Beador's alleged drinking problem during a recent episode of 'RHOC' as she suggested the reality star needed professional help.

"Shannon says s**t, and then she wants to pretend that she didn’t do it, and if you can say things that are that f*****g hurtful and not even remember you said it, you need to go f*****g check yourself into rehab,” said Kirschenheiter who stopped drinking alcohol after her DUI arrest in 2019.
