Respawn have announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed by an additional six weeks.

On Jan. 31, Respawn Entertainment announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now be launching on April 28, having delayed the game by six weeks. In a statement posted to Twitter, EA and Respawn said, "For the last three years, the Jedi team here at Respawn has poured its collective heart and soul into Star ars Jedi: Survivor, and we are proud to say the next chapter in the tale of Cal Kestis is content complete."

"We are now focused entirely on the final stage: bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, polish, and most importantly, the player experience."

According to the statement, the reason for the delay is mainly to ensure the game ships at a high standard. "In order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule."

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will continue the story of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, set five years after the events of the first game. Now a Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis must now survive the threat of the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch globally on April 28, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.

Alongside the delay, Respawn also announced that they would be sunsetting Apex Legends Mobile. The game will cease service in May 2023, despite launching just last year.
