A new trailer for The Exorcist: Believer is here, giving us another preview of what to expect from the latest follow up to the late William Friedkin's iconic 1973 horror film. Namely, incredibly intense friendship bonding.
Angela (Lidya Jewett) and Katherine (Olivia Marcum) are a pair of young girls who mysteriously disappear in the nearby woods, sparking fears of kidnapping. Fortunately, they're found alive, though amnesiac, three days later, much to the relief of both Katherine's parents (Jennifer Nettles and Norbert Leo Butz) and Angela's widowed father Victor (Leslie Odom Jr.).
Unfortunately, it seems as though the girls weren't the only things that came out of the woods. It soon becomes apparent that something sinister happened to them while they were missing, leaving the pair with matching demonic possessions. This leads Victor to track down the only other parent who has witnessed events like this before: Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), whose daughter Regan went through something similar decades ago in The Exorcist.
The Exorcist: Believer arrives in theatres Oct. 6.
