After suffering a stunning Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions last Thursday night, it was made quite clear that the Kansas City Chiefs were missing two superstars: Travis Kelce and Chris Jones. Kelce was missed by Mahomes, while Jones' pass-rushing brilliance was needed.
Fortunately for head man Andy Reid and the Chiefs as a whole, good news has arrived. Both players will be ready to make their season debuts in Week 2. Kelce is recovering from his knee injury, while Jones has put the pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Obviously, this is massive news for Kansas City. They'll be taking on a talented Jacksonville Jaguars team this weekend in Florida. It's going to be a tough road contest for the Chiefs, but they're hungry to make a statement.
It goes without saying, but having Kelce and Jones in action is superb for the AFC West side. We'll find out soon enough if they can improve to 1-1 on the year or fall to 0-2.
