Chicago Cubs manager David Ross unleashed on umpires after Tuesday's win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Chicago Cubs walked out of their Independence Day game against the Milwaukee Brewers with a 7-6 win, but manager David Ross was far from pleased. And he had an ejection to show for it.

Frustration boiled over late over perceived missed calls in the box and on the field. Ross also had issues with gameday operations and their handling of the roof at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

A roof is supposed to neutralize things. In this case, it did exactly the opposite.

One of the particularly egregious scoring and officiating errors was this clear error being called a double. The issue was that William Contreras, the batter, appears to be running in the grass and not exactly in the baseline.

Cubs manager David Ross unleashes on umpires for Tuesday's game

It's been a while since I've heard a manager press conference rant this epic.

"I know it's not an easy job. But there's just, there's some of the pitches that got called today just weren't even close. So, it's gotta be better, they're closing the roof to get rid of the shadows late. There's a lot of bullsh– going on today that was really frustrating."

Asked if they're allowed to close the roof during a game, Ross followed up, "I thought it was horsesh–. I don't fu–ing know."

Here's a video of the rant. Obviously, the audio is NSFW.

The Brewers, as fans pointed out on Twitter, made curious decisions with the roof, including opening and closing it multiple times. While there was rain in the area, it appeared to move south when the game entered extra innings.

Ross might be hearing from the league and paying up a few dollars for this one…
