Looking at the US Open weather forecast at LACC where sunny skies are in order with beautiful temperatures, but wind might play a big role.

The 2023 US Open promises to bring a welcomed respite from all of the merger drama ongoing in the golf world with the excitement of a major championship week. Even better, though, we are heading to beautiful Los Angeles Country Club this week, one of the most celebrated courses in the country but one that will be hosting a major for the first time in its history.

Scottie Scheffler has been performing at Tiger Woods levels of dominance tee-to-green, but has yet to capture a major — or as many victories as expected — due to immense putting woes. Meanwhile, Viktor Hovland looks to finally cash in a major win, guys like Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth hope to get back to winning majors by adding another US Open to their tallies, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka aim to go 2-for-3 in major championships this year, and much more.

When we talk about the narratives, though, the one that every player has to deal with is the 2023 US Open weather forecast. So what is it shaping up for at LACC this week?

Temperatures and precipitation look like an absolute dream, especially for the USGA as they look to make for a difficult test. However, the wind could play a factor as it's expected to blow consistently at a golf course where positional accuracy is paramount for success. But let's break it all down with a day-by-day look at the US Open weather forecast in Los Angeles from June 15-18.

US Open weather forecast for Los Angeles Country Club

Thursday, June 15 (Round 1)

There are expected to be some light clouds in the area but Thursday just be a relatively sunny day at LACC with the high set at 71 degrees. While that's a moderate temperature, the beauty of golf in LA is that the low is only 60 degrees for the day, so there shouldn't be any true battles with cold like we've seen thus far in majors this year. But as for the wind, we're looking at sustained 12 mph winds that could gust around 20 mph, which could be quite difficult to contend with for the players.

Friday, June 16 (Round 2)

Fewer clouds but roughly the same conditions as Thursday are in order for Friday at Los Angeles Country Club. The forecast is calling for a sunny day with a high at 73 degrees and a low of 59 degrees for the day. The wind will pick up only slightly with consistent 13 mph winds with gusts a bit higher throughout Friday's action.

Saturday, June 17 (Round 3)

Another sunny day is in order with no calling for clouds or precipitiation on Saturday. The high rises to 75 degrees on Moving Day at the US Open with a low of 60 degrees once again. That pesky wind will remain a factor, though, once again forecasted to blow at 12 mph from the same direction and with gusts a bit more dramatic throughout the day as well.

Sunday, June 18 (Final Round)

Really changing things up for the final day of action at LACC, Sunday is supposed to live up to its name with a sunny day that is forecasted for a high of 75 degrees and low of 61 degrees. The wind dies down for Sunday in the forecast, but only slightly with a consistent wind of 11 mph and gusts still getting up to 20 mph.
