Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 is bringing an Afghan POI to Al Mazrah.
A recent blog by the Call of Duty staff unveiled more changes coming to both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. The previously announced changes to the Battle Royale included static Buy Stations, 1v1 Gulags, and the return of Resurgence mode.
Now, players can also expect Combat Records, an Operator from Modern Warfare (2019), and a mysterious new POI on Al Mazrah when Season 2 launches on Feb. 15.
Warzone 2 Afghan POI Added to Al Mazrah
Although the new POI does not yet have a name, the Call of Duty Staff teased its location. Just north of Sa'id City, there is a downed aircraft resting in rubble. The black smoke from the crash can be seen from the summit above the Sattiq Caves Complex.
The rest of the report is currently redacted, leaving many unknowns surrounding the new POI. All that is for certain is the large aircraft appears to be a black airplane missing its left wing. Although it looks in bad shape, there is ample room in its interior for players to hide out or find loot.
The original Modern Warfare 2 Afghan map features a similar crashed plane. The teaser image for the new POI on Al Mazrah heavily resembles the iconic map.
Fans can expect more intel on the location when a Tactical Overview is released about the POI later today.
