Warzone 2 is. hopefully, going to be the game's savior as the player base grows uneasy about the state of the game. With major streamers and content creators leaving for greener pastures, fans are desperate for any Warzone 2 news. In the past, leaker TheGhostofHope was one of the main leakers for the upcoming Snoop Dogg skin. Based on an earlier leak, the next Warzone will be based in the Atacama Desert in Chile. This may be the first Call of Duty based in Chile, but the desert-themed map is not a Call of Duty debut. This is more like the game is going back to its roots. Now, that original leak was more speculation, it seems TheGhostofHope has more information on the new Warzone.
"The Warzone 2 map will heavily take inspiration from Medellin, Colombia."
This is much different than the original desert theme, but it could actually be both. Medellin is tucked in the Andes mountains and has a diverse landscape, surrounded by thick jungles and mountains. As with any battle royale map, you want different parts for players to experience. Maybe part of the map will be more desert-like while a large city will be based on Medellin. Even the city itself seems to have great differences, with towering skyscrapers and more quaint buildings and neighborhoods.
Leaks for the next installment of Call of Duty have leaned toward war against drugs, focusing on the fight against drug cartels. This would make this location even more likely as an inspiration. If Infinity Ward does this correctly, the map will have multiple spots to enjoy including this magnificent city.
