According to a source close to popular YouTuber NerosCinema, fans should expect a number of significant changes with Warzone 2, including in the loadout system, inventory, armor and more. Here are some of the new changes rumored to come to Warzone 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leaks have been flying out over the last few weeks, with leakers revealing more information on the upcoming rendition of the battle royale. New leaks are suggesting even more major changes for the loadout system, inventory, armor, and more.

According to a source close to popular YouTuber NerosCinema, fans should expect a number of significant changes with Warzone 2. Here are some of the new changes rumored to come to Warzone 2.

Loadouts Changes in Warzone 2

The first major change shared with NerosCinema has to do with Warzone’s Loadout Drop system. Rather than simply cashing in at a Buy Station to secure that first custom Loadout, players may soon have to earn them through unique challenges in the sequel. “Loadouts are still going to be part of the game,” NeroCinema claimed, “but they will be locked behind these things called Strongholds.”

According to the leaks, these Strongholds can be found across the new map, and will require players to complete objectives once inside them in order to unlock their loadouts, such as “infiltrating a building,” or “defusing a bomb,”

Leaked Inventory System & Armor Changes in Warzone 2

Additionally, according to NeroCinema, inventories appear to be in store for major changes. “A bag system is going to be implemented,” NerosCinema claimed. With this system, all items and equipment will allegedly take up a certain amount of inventory space, similar to other Battle Royale games like DayZ and H1Z1.

This will be a major change, limiting how much a player can carry with them around the map and making Warzone more realistic. It's unknown if the weights of the backpack will affect player speed and stamina, but that would be another realistic change.

It's a similar story for armor in Warzone 2 as well. Rather than having the ability to stockpile a few plates by default, players could soon “need a satchel to even be able to equip them in the first place,” the YouTuber said. This could mean all players drop into Warzone 2 without any armor, which will be interesting for early battles.

New Map and Firing Range Leaked for Warzone 2

Past leaks have already revealed that a new map is coming for Warzone 2. However, the newest wave of leaks has seemingly confirmed one of the newest POIs.

“One area that was specifically mentioned was Highrise from Modern Warfare 2,” according to NeroCinema. The source also informed NerosCinema that a highly-requested Firing Range feature would launch with Warzone 2.

Tom Henderson has said on Twitter that much of this information is true, but as TheGhostofHope, a CoD leaker, says in the replies, some of these leaks might actually be tied to the leaked DMZ mode in Modern Warfare 2. Ultimately, these are just leaks, and we'll have to wait for Infinity Ward to give us any guaranteed information about the new game. As more leaks are shared for MW2, we will keep you updated.
