What has happened in 'White House Plumbers' so far?

In the pilot episode, they failed to break into the offices of a psychiatrist to retrieve an important file, while in the second episode, up until the latter half, the plans of the duo to help re-elect the president were disposed of by Attorney General John Mitchell. If not for Hunt’s charismatic abilities of persuasion, Liddy would have killed a man to get what he wanted. Fortunately, the duo turned the tides in their favor by saving Mitchell from prison, who was exposed after a dirty and illegal secret of seeking donations from the International Telephone and Telegraph (ITT) came out to the public.

Mitchell was impressed with Hunt and Liddy’s job approval of Project Opal, the assignment that will see the plumbers break into the Watergate offices of the Democrats and bug them for the Republicans to hear. The next episode will have a more concrete plan of action from Liddy and Hunt since the target is identified and in sight.
