The beloved franchise will usually save any major announcements for the future of the series for two rough dates; one towards the end of February and sometime in August. Having these dates be towards the beginning and end of the year respectively help gauge excitement and pace Pokémon fans for big moments from the company through the year.

Other key dates for the Pokémon company include usually the months surrounding February, when either a side game or DLC is revealed, and the end of November, when a main-series game is usually released.

When is Pokémon Day 2023?

Pokémon Day consistently occurs towards the end of February, with the announcements made most commonly throughout Feb. 26 and 27.

Even though it is referred to as "Pokémon Day", which is specifically meant to reference Feb. 27 in particular, it is not out of the ordinary to expect announcements to be made on the aforementioned days.
