Malicious Armor is an evolution item integral in getting a certain evolution out of Charcadet in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Here's how to get your hands on it.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Game Freak's latest Pokémon offering, has taken version-exclusive Pokémon to the next level. Charcadet, a brand-new Pokémon introduced in Scarlet and Violet, can have different evolutions depending on which version of the game you own.
In Scarlet, Charcadet evolves into Armarouge with the help of the Auspicious Armor. But in Violet, it evolves into Ceruledge thanks to the Malicious Armor. If you own Pokémon Scarlet, you'll need to trade with a friend who owns Violet, either trading Ceruledge outright or handing over some Malicious Armor.
Where to get Malicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The Malicious Armor is obtained through a side quest. You'll need to gather 10 Sinistea Chips which can be found in areas where Sinistea spawns. The Let’s Go battle mechanic will be a useful tool here, allowing your Pokémon to gather items independently.
With 10 Sinistea Chips in hand, head to Zapapico and look for an NPC talking about a trade. Exchange the materials for a set of Malicious Armor. Use the item to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge.
