With God of War Ragnarök set to release on Nov. 9, some players are hoping to learn everything they can about the game ahead of time.
Santa Monica Studio's upcoming action-adventure game God of War Ragnarök is set for release in just over a weeks time. Despite being a sequel to 2018's God of War, Ragnarök will be the ninth installment in the God of War series. The game follows on from the events of God of War, set in ancient Scandinavia and focusing on series protagonist Kratos and his now-teenage son Atreus.
Story and characters feature heavily in God of War Ragnarök and it's prequel from 2018, with the presence and portrayal of both Kratos and Atreus being an important aspect. So who voices Atreus in the upcoming game?
Atreus Voice Actor God of War Ragnarök
Reprising his role from 2018's God of War, actor Sunny Suljic will be voicing Atreus in God of War Ragnarök.
Outside of God of War, Suljic is perhaps best known for acting in the Yorgos Lanthimos film The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
Development of God of War Ragnarök was impacted by the young actor going through puberty during the time of production. His voice had changed during the production, as well as the delays in the game's development caused by effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Actor Christopher Judge, who voices Kratos, underwent health problems in August 2019, also leading to delays in development.
God of War Ragnarök will release worldwide on Nov. 9, 2022 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
