With God of War Ragnarök set to release on Nov. 9, some players are hoping to learn everything they can about the game ahead of time.
Santa Monica Studio's upcoming action-adventure game God of War Ragnarök is set for release in just over a weeks time. Despite being a sequel to 2018's God of War, Ragnarök will be the ninth installment in the God of War series. The game follows on from the events of God of War, set in ancient Scandinavia and focusing on series protagonist Kratos and his now-teenage son Atreus.
Story and characters feature heavily in God of War Ragnarök and it's prequel from 2018, with the presence and portrayal of both Kratos and Atreus being an important aspect. So who voices Kratos in the upcoming game?
Who Voices Kratos in God of War Ragnarök?
Reprising his role from 2018's God of War, actor Christopher Judge will be voicing Kratos in God of War Ragnarök.
The actor is perhaps best known for his role of Teal'c in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis, though the actor gave his voice to Black Panther in Square Enix's War for Wakanda DLC expansion of Marvel's Avengers.
Judge replaced long-time Kratos voice actor Terrence C. Carson, who voiced the character from 2005 until 2013.
God of War Ragnarök was also originally set for a 2021 release, but was delayed over Judge's health problems in August 2019, as well as the game's development suffering from effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
God of War Ragnarök will release worldwide on Nov. 9, 2022 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
