Why Warzone FPS has dropped after the Season 4 Reloaded update has been a massive concern among the player base.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded went live July 12 introducing tons of new content including a collaboration with The Boys, new weapons, bundles, maps and Vondel Battle Royale. While Reloaded updates are usually exciting times for players, the latest update has been causing players a ton of issues.
Reddit posts on the Call of Duty: Warzone page have been calling out massive FPS issues and packet loss since Season 4 Reloaded went live.
Why Warzone FPS Dropped After Season 4 Reloaded Update
As for a reason, Raven Software and Infinity Ware have been pretty quiet as to what could've caused it. All that's been stated on the CODUpdates Twitter and on the official Trello board is that reduced performance for PC players is being investigated. Something could've just been broken after the update, it wouldn't be the first time Call of Duty has had an issue post-update. Especially in Warzone.
As of 11:39 a.m. ET on July 14, the last tweet stated that the issue is still being actively investigated and that an update would come when available. One Reddit post from user Lazymathematician556 highlighted some of the issues. The user states they went from 130FPS pre-update to around 50-80 on average. That's not just a small error, there's something hindering players from getting the performance they expect out of the game and their PCs.
Players have even been calling to revert the update, but that's unlikely to happen considering the major collaboration with Amazon's The Boys. Hopefully Raven has a fix soon because Reloaded updates are meant to keep players excited throughout a season, not turn them away to other games.
If you're still having issues, try some of these FPS fixes.
