In what some view to be the greatest revenge story to ever play out on reality television, "Vanderpump Rules" castmember Ariana Madix has joined the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."
She is the first contestant announced for Season 32 of the competition show. The news was announced Friday on "Good Morning America."
On Wednesday, Madix had lunch with "DWTS" judge Derek Hough at Something About Her, the sandwich shop she co-owns with fellow "Vanderpump Rules" castmember Katie Maloney.
Hough shared a clip from inside the shop on the "GMA" Twitter account.
Madix made headlines and stirred interest in the show the last few months after her boyfriend of nine years Tom Sandoval was caught carrying on an eight-month long affair with Madix's good friend and castmate Raquel Leviss.
Since dumping Sandoval, Madix has been working nonstop, appearing in ads for several companies including Duracell, Bic razors, Bloomingdale's, and Lays chips. She and Maloney have also sold more than $200,000 in sandwich shop merchandise they revealed on the recent "Vanderpump" reunion.
"Vanderpump Rules" has begun filming Season 11.
The new season of "Dancing With the Stars," will return to airing on ABC this fall after a year of exclusively streaming on Disney+.
